Bathtime #2
I just had to add this bath photo. Today in the bath they kept asking for more bubbles so I said if I could put in some more water I could turn on the jets which would make lots of bubbles. I had never done that before as it will usually scare kids. They wanted lots of bubbles so I turned it on low and turned the jets on and Jillian was a little shocked but not Bridget in the slightest. As soon as they saw it making bubbles I asked if they wanted it faster and Jillian was all for that. I didn't run it very long and they kept asking for more bubbles but they would have overflowed the tub. Jillian announced that every time they come they want a bath with bubbles.

Scary!
With her long reach Bridget would try to reach everything on the cupboards to play with. Since that didn't always work she is getting more creative to be able to reach higher. First it was the baskets but they weren't very stable and would cave in. Next I found her with her little ride on car up at the counter. That meant being right there to save her as it slid backwards and she was hanging on by her fingertips. Now the little car will be put up. I'm sure she will think of something else to be able to get on top of the counter. (Notice the chair laid down in the background.) She is one determined little girl.

The Lost Puppy
Jillian will usually bring her little stuffed puppy with her when she comes. She has been attached to that one for quite awhile. Today she was concerned because puppy was sick. I took the puppy's temperature and we wrapped up puppy in a blanket and Jillian rocked and fed the puppy. Later the puppy was much better.
When Mommy came to pick up Jillian and Bridget, Jillian looked for puppy who was nowhere to be found. Now we have drama building. Mommy and I looked in every room and even in the bathtub where Bridget said she put the puppy. Then Jillian remembered she took puppy outside for a short time. When stuffed animals are left outside, Tucker (Julie's dog) will carry them off and rip out the stuffing. We didn't tell Jillian that, and she went home, taking a little bunny of Grannie's for the time being. After she left I made another search of the house and all over the yard looking for puppy remains. Nothing. So later that day I come home and puppy is sitting on the counter. Papa found it under a cushion on the sofa. Whew! Sorry Tucker.

Water Fountain & Good Citizen
The water fountain just got cleaned out and started Sunday and of course, the girls found it first thing. I forgot how much Bridget likes water so it was an immediate attraction. At first she was throwing in rocks. Then Jillian had the sprinkler can and she watered all the plants and put it down and Bridget took over. She wasn't as neat as Jillian so she watered her jeans and shoes too. Since it was still early they both got cold and I convinced them to come in.
The girls got to sit through a double-header softball game at Castle Rock where it was sunny but the wind always blows so Bridget and Jillian spent a lot of time tucked in a blanket playing with toys. Sometimes they played in the rocks in front of the bleachers. Jillian was disappointed since Rielee didn't come as Macee sprained her ankle in the first inning and then didn't play. When I was packing up to go, Jillian (on her own) started singing the clean up song from pre-school and picked up all the litter in front of the bleachers. She impressed the people in the bleachers.

Pretty girls
During their hour long bath, Jillian decided she needed to practice with goggles before her next swimming lessons. She looked under water but didn't get much braver than that. Of course, the "Me too!" girl had to have goggles but they didn't stay on long and you can see where she wore them for most of the bath time.
After bath time Jillian got all dressed up in her tutu dress, wings, fancy shoes and today a sparkly headband. Bridget wanted one too so they were happy to show the headbands off in a picture.

Computer Girl #2
Bridget can be so funny at times! Normally, one thing that we always put up is the mouse when no one is using the computer because if Bridget gets hold of it she chews on the rubber. Well today she got hold of it and started turning the scroll wheel and saw that what was up on the computer would move up and down so she thought she was now using the mouse just like older sister Jillian. She would run the wheel up and down and laugh and smile at us like "Look at me! I'm a big girl now".
First time to try to upload video.

Big Stuff
Jillian was busy doing play doh when Bridget woke up from her nap. Now Jillian could do Starfall so she went in the computer room and "quick as a wink" Bridget saw the stool and climbed up and started playing with Jillian's play doh. She was grinning the whole time as the counter is off limits to her usually-since she can climb on the stools we lay them down when they aren't being used. She was so good at staying on her knees since she didn't want to get put down. That girl is so savvy for her age. When Mommy came to pick them up Bridget led Mommy to the kitchen and showed her how she could climb on the stool and do play doh. One proud girl.

Names and More
Bridget is trying to say lots of words now! It usually ends up being the beginning sound of the word ... although she has managed to put two sounds together sometimes, such has her own name. Here's a little video of Bridget saying "Jill" and "Mama", and if you listen close, she says "Bri-" and then gets sidetracked saying "Jill" again.

Fun with Rielee
The volleyball tournament lasted all day so Jillian and Rielee had lots of fun together. In the hall they found these two green squares that they pretended were islands sometimes, surrounded by oceans or whatever. They would jump to the other square or try different ways to get there. This was the horsey ride between the squares. I told Rielee that it was a good way to build up her muscles. When they weren't playing here they were in the stands doing workbooks or playing with toys. It was a busy day for these two and they got along great.

Easter is Coming
Jillian was helping me take out Easter decorations and there were many small sacks with plastic eggs in them so I ended up dumping them all in one bin. I left it on the floor and gave them each an Easter basket to fill for fun. Bridget would have none of that. Her only goal was to dump it all on the floor and play in the eggs. She had lots of fun and she did help pick them up. Then she enjoyed sitting in the bin with the eggs piled around her, kind of like those ball pits.
The twins Ava and Harper came to play with the girls for awhile. They were shy at first but Ava (I think) let Jillian dress her up with a wig and boa. Harper and Bridget were more interested in the dolls and specifically the baby bottles for the dolls. I am sure that Bridget said "My baw." when Harper had the baby bottle for awhile. I finally found another one for them to use.
After the twins left the girls helped me load some clipping on the trailer behind the lawn tractor. I let Jillian steer when we went to dump it and this year she can do it without forgetting to look where she is going. After we dumped it the girls got to ride in the trailer back up the hill which they thought was very cool. Bridget learned to stay on her bottom or the tractor would stop. Lots of outdoor time today.

Jillian's School Birthday Party
Jillian's birthday party at pre-school was today so I had her sit in the little Dora chair and I put her hair in two pony tails, then put in some ribbons that matched her outfit. As soon as Jillian got off the Dora chair, Bridget climbed on it and sat down. I asked her if she wanted her hair pretty like Jillian's and she shook her head yes, so I proceeded to fix hers the same as Jillian's. The amazing thing was that Bridget sat without moving a muscle until I was all done. Then I took her to a mirror and she was so pleased. It seems she wants to do whatever Jillian does all the time.
Jillian got to lead the class in everything today for her birthday celebration. For the party she got to put on her crown she made at the starting of pre-school, then they had the cookies that Jillian brought, and after that everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her. That is her teacher sitting by her leading the singing. Next she got to pick out 4 little things from the teacher's birthday bag since she turned 4 years old. Next they had sharing so Jillian decided to share the ruler (pointer) she picked out and during sharing she turned to the numbers and counted while pointing to them.
At the end of class Jillian got to pass out her treat bags to all the kids. She was so nice that when she had one bag left over she gave it to one of the kid's little sister.
On the way home after this party the two girls just cracked up Papa and I. Jillian would tell a knock-knock joke but leave out the last part as she always does. Jillian went, "Knock, Knock, who's there? Banana! Banana who?" and then Bridget would just laugh out loud like it was so funny. Then again, "Knock, Knock, who's there? Apple! Apple who?" and again Bridget would laugh. That went on for quite awhile repeating the same banana and apple. At least Jillian had a good audience in Bridget.

Rice and Dump Trucks
Since Bridget was taking a long nap and Jillian couldn't go in the playroom, she found this bin of construction vehicles and wanted to play with them. Since the sand was long gone out of the sandbox I wondered what to use....Came up with rice so I poured a couple of cups on the counter and she spent the longest time scooping and moving the rice all around. Actually it was not messy at all and very little ended up on the floor.
That was yesterday. Today they got to play outside a lot. I found Bridget just loves to run when she in wide open spaces. We also visited Aunt Robin and Uncle Dan's pond where they can throw in rocks. Bridget was all over that too. They also spent a lot of time putting dried leaves in the fire pit to get ready for the next fire.
